Tokmangalieva Saya Turghazykyzy

Tokmangalieva Saya Turghazykyzy – theater and film actress, laureate of the “Serper” award of the Kazakhstan Youth Union, voice-over artist. She is an actress at the Kalibek Kuanyshbayev State Academic Kazakh Music and Drama Theater in Nur-Sultan.

She was born on September 23, 1982, in the Aбай district of Semey, East Kazakhstan Region. From 1989 to 1999, she graduated from Kökbay Secondary School. From 2000 to 2003, she completed the Pedagogical Organizer department at M. Tolebaev Music College in Semey.

From 2003 to 2007, she graduated with honors from the Kazakh National Academy of Music in Astana.

Since 2007, she has been an actress at the Kalibek Kuanyshbayev State Academic Kazakh Music and Drama Theater in the capital.

In 2004, she became a laureate of the “Shabut” International Competition for her excellence in spoken word performance.
In 2005, she won the Grand Prix of the “Zhas Baiterek” youth competition.
From 2007 to 2008, she worked as a teacher at the Nursultan City #2 Art School. Her students won gold medals in the “Spoken Word” category at the “Shattyk” Delphic Games.
In 2015, she was awarded the “Serper” award by the Kazakhstan Youth Union.
In 2014, her performance in the role of Si in “Ukili Juldyz” earned the Grand Prix at the “Alaqh Ardaqtysy” regional theater festival, marking the 125th anniversary of prominent figure, writer, and playwright Zhusupbek Aimauytov. Directed by Kazakhstan’s honored cultural figure Alimbek Orazbekov.
In 2019, she was honored by the Minister of Culture and Sports of Kazakhstan and the Chairperson of the Professional Union of Cultural, Sports, Tourism, and Information Workers of Kazakhstan for her significant contribution to the development of national culture and her active work in the trade union.
In 2019, her lead role in R. Mukhanova’s “Sarra” at the “CHELOVEK TEATRA” VII International Theater Festival was highly praised by international theater critics.
In 2021, Saya Tokmangalieva was awarded the Honorary Certificate of the Ministry of Culture and Sports of Kazakhstan.

Saya Tokmangalieva is one of the prominent actresses, not only in Kazakh theater but also in pedagogy and voice-over, continuously contributing to the cultural landscape of Kazakhstan.
