Beisembaev Erlan Gabituly

Beissembayev Yerlan Gabituly was born on February 2, 1978, in Urlitobe village, Zhelezin district, Pavlodar region.
In 1993, he graduated from Secondary School No.18 in Pavlodar.
From 1993 to 1997, he studied at the P.I. Tchaikovsky Music College, majoring in trombone.
In 1997, he entered the Kurmangazy State Conservatory in Almaty to study trombone and opera-symphonic conducting. Since 1999, he continued his education at the Kazakh National Music Academy, graduating in 2003 with a degree in opera-symphonic conducting.
From 2003 to 2005, he pursued postgraduate studies (aspirantura) at the Kazakh National Music Academy, specializing in Orchestral Conducting.
Between 2007 and 2009, he completed a degree in Public and Local Administration at the Kazakh University of Economics, Finance, and International Trade.
Since 2017, he has been studying at the Russian University of Theatre Arts (GITIS, Moscow), majoring in Musical Theatre Directing.
Career Path
Since 2001, Yerlan Beissembayev has worked in various regional philharmonics and orchestras.
In 2002–2003 and 2008–2009, he served as a conductor of the Symphony Orchestra of the Astana City State Philharmonic.
From 2003 to 2007, he was the artistic director and chief conductor of the E. Omirzakov Regional Philharmonic Chamber Orchestra in Kostanay.
Since 2004, he has been serving as the chief conductor of the Kazakh National Musical Drama Theatre named after Kalibek Kuanyshbayev.
In addition, since 2013, he has been teaching at the Kazakh National University of Arts, where in 2018, he earned the title of Associate Professor of the Department of Vocal Art and Conducting.
Theatre Orchestra
The theatre orchestra has existed for over 20 years and consists of 50 musicians. It is a multiple award-winning ensemble in international competitions.
The orchestra’s repertoire ranges from Kazakh folk songs to classical symphonic works, romances, and jazz compositions. It also performs opera excerpts, musicals, and modern soundtracks with high professionalism.

E. Beissembayev is a skilled professional working across symphonic, chamber, vocal, and stage music genres. His repertoire includes works by J. Haydn, P. Tchaikovsky, J. Strauss, W. Mozart, G. Verdi, J. Massenet, J. Brahms, A. Dvořák, L. Beethoven, and compositions by Kazakhstani composers.
