Saken-Sunkar

In honor of the 120th anniversary of the famous poet, passionate writer, talented playwright, qualified teacher, and the first Chairman of the Council of People’s Commissars of the Kazakh SSR, Saken Seifullin, this work has been staged on the theater stage. The fate of this Alash figure, who went through difficult and turbulent times, was filled with the struggle for a bright and prosperous future for his people, dreaming of a free and independent life. However, in the ideological battle with the Bolsheviks, he faced fierce opposition, and even the government he established did not spare him. Director A. Orazbekov, by staging this work, reveals the life path and moral lessons of the respected Saken, who earned the recognition of the people.
