TUGAN KUN

In this play by English playwright Ray Cooney, the details and unbelievable effects of a sudden, comical twist that befalls a young, previously peaceful family are depicted. Henry Perkins, a young bank employee and modest accountant, unexpectedly finds a large sum of money and is suddenly blessed with an abundance of wealth. As the Kazakh proverb says, “The star of money is hot,” this truth causes the comedy’s characters to lose their heads and get entangled in a whirlwind of events within a matter of hours. The power of money is immediately evident, and the behavior and actions of people change in the blink of an eye, with the audience witnessing these unexpected and humorous transformations.
