Esen Nursultan Torekhanuly

Esen Nursultan Torekhanuly was born on April 10, 1991, in the city of Aktobe, Kazakhstan.

From 2009 to 2013, he studied at the Kazakh National University of Arts, specializing in “Drama and Cinema Acting” under the mentorship of Kazakhstan’s Honored Worker, Akish Omar.

Since September 11, 2011, he has been working as an actor at the State Academic Kazakh Musical Drama Theater named after Kalibek Kuanyshbayev.

In 2019, for his significant contribution to the development of national culture and his active service in the trade union organization, he was awarded an Appreciation Certificate from the Minister of Culture and Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Chairperson of the Kazakhstan Sectoral Cultural, Sports, Tourism, and Information Workers’ Trade Union.

In 2023, the musical drama “Bayan Sulu – Kozy Korpesh” featuring actor N. Yesen won the Grand Prix at the ART ORDO-2023 International Theatre Festival, dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the People’s Artist of the USSR and prominent Kyrgyz theatre and film actress Baken Kydykeeva.
N. Yesen’s acting performance in this production was highly praised by international theatre experts and became one of the major milestones in his artistic career.

He also contributes to the development of the dubbing industry by voicing characters from world cinema in the Kazakh language.
