Meiram Ievekuly Kaysanov

Meiram Ievekuly Kaysanov was born on May 1, 1966, in the village of Koshkental, Kapal District, Taldykorgan Region.
From 1972 to 1982, he studied at the No. 1 Kazakh boarding school in Taldykorgan city.
From 1982 to 1984, he took classes at the studio of the M. Auezov State Academic Kazakh Drama Theater under the direction of directors A. Rakhimov and U. Sultangazin.
From 1984 to 1986, he served in the Soviet Army, fulfilling his military duties in Ukraine and Czechoslovakia.
From 1986 to 1990, he studied Theater and Cinema Acting at the State Institute of Theater and Fine Arts in Almaty, under the guidance of professors R. Kanybaeva, A. Yksanov, and N. Zhakypbay.
From 1991 to 1993, he worked at the J. Aymauytov Regional Kazakh Musical Drama Theater in Pavlodar.
Since 1998, he has been an actor at the Kalibek Kuanyshbayev State Academic Kazakh Musical Drama Theater in the capital. During his time at the theater, he has toured Tashkent, Ufa, Germany, and Russia.
In September 2010, the play “Kesh” (directed by People’s Artist of Kazakhstan Bolat Uzakov), in which Meiram Kaysanov played the lead role, won the Grand Prix at the XVIII Republican Theater Festival of Kazakhstan in Taraz city.
In 2011, in honor of the 20th anniversary of Kazakhstan’s independence, he was awarded the honorary title of “People’s Artist of Kazakhstan.”
In 2014, he received the state scholarship from the President of Kazakhstan.

In 2020, for his significant contribution to culture and the arts, Meiram Kaysanov was awarded the “Actor Kenzes Nurlanov Prize” at the “Tulga” Award organized by philanthropist B. Altybekov.
In 2021, he was awarded the “Labor Glory” badge by the Kazakhstan Professional Union of Culture, Sports, Tourism, and Information Workers.
In 2021, on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the Kalbek Kuanyshbayev Theater, he was awarded the “30th Anniversary” medal, presented by the Minister of Culture and Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
In 2021, Meiram Kaysanov participated in the First Republican “Five Weapons” Stage Arts Festival, dedicated to the five weapons protecting the Great Steppe, and received the “Commander” Honorary Certificate and T. Aytkozhanov’s hand-held baton.
