Moldabaev Borambay Abdeshuly

Borambay Abdeshuly Moldabaev was born on March 12, 1969, in Almaty Region.
He graduated from the Almaty State Institute of Theater and Fine Arts, specializing in “Theater and Cinema Acting.”
In 1999, he became the Grand Prix winner of the National N. Zhanturin Literary Reading Master contest.
In 1999, he was the First-place Laureate of the National O. Bokei Literary Reading Master contest.
In 1998, he won the Grand Prix at the National Theater Festival.
In 2004, he was awarded the “For Outstanding Labor” medal.
In 2010, he was honored with the “Cultural Figure” badge.
In 2010, he was awarded the “Cultural Figure” badge of the Kyrgyz Republic.
In 2011, he was awarded the honorary title of “People’s Artist of Kazakhstan.”
In 2015, he participated in the International Theater Festival of playwright Rakhymzhan Otarbaev in Atyrau, where the theater performed the drama “Kölegesiz Jolaushy” (The Shadowless Traveler) featuring Moldabaev as the character of the Neighbor. The director, People’s Artist of Kazakhstan N. Zhumaniyazov, won the “Best Director” nomination.
In 2019, he was awarded the “K. Nurlanov Prize” by philanthropist B. K. Altynbekov for his “Outstanding Achievements in the Arts and Mastery in Portraying the Character” in recognition of his contribution to the performing arts.
In 2021, he participated in the First Republican “Five Weapons” Stage Arts Festival, dedicated to defending the Great Steppe, and received the “Commander” Honorary Certificate from Ruslan Senkebaev, the director of the B. Rimova City Kazakh Drama Theater in Taldykorgan, as well as the T. Aytkozhanov hand-held baton.
