Nurymbet Erjan Amangeldyuly

Nurymbet Erjan Amangeldyuly was born on January 17, 1976, in the Törtköl village, Ordabası district, South Kazakhstan region.
He attended the M. Zhümbayev Secondary School in Törtköl from 1981 to 1992.
In 1996, he enrolled in the Faculty of Arts at the International Kazakh-Turkish University, graduating in 2000 with a qualification as a drama actor.
From 2000 to 2007, he worked as an actor at the Turkestan Musical Drama Theatre.
Since 2007, he has been an actor at the Kalibek Kuanyshbayev State Academic Kazakh Musical Drama Theatre in the capital city, Nur-Sultan (formerly Astana).

- In 2015, he won the Best Male Image nomination at the XI International Eurasia Film Festival for his role as Ilyas in The Guest.
- In 2019, he was awarded a letter of appreciation from the Mayor of Nur-Sultan for his significant contribution to the development of culture and spirituality, and for promoting national ideals and the cultural values of the Kazakh people.
- In 2019, his role as Dervish in the play Layli-Majnun (author: N. Ganzhawi, director: B. Abdurazzakov) won a special diploma at the XXVII Republican Festival of Kazakh Drama Theatres and the Samgau VII International Theatre Festival in Semey. The performance also received high praise at the XV International Festival of Turkic Peoples’ Theatre in Kazan (online).
- In 2020, he received the Cultural Worker of Excellence badge from the Ministry of Culture and Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
- In 2021, he was awarded the Order of Kurmet.
- In 2022, he won the Best Actor nomination for his role as Don Quixote in M. Cervantes’ Don Quixote at the Kalleki Tynysy premiere week.
Erjan Nurymbet continues to be a significant figure in Kazakhstan’s theater and film industries, known for his versatile performances and notable contributions to the arts.
