Ospanov Zhanat Serikuly

Ospanov Zhanat Serikuly was born on May 22, 1987, in Almalyk village, Talgar district, Almaty region.
From 2003 to 2006, he studied acting at the Jussipbek Elebekov Republic College of Show Business and Circus in Almaty, under the guidance of People’s Artist of Kazakhstan B. Omarov.
From 2006 to 2010, he studied at the Kazakh National University of Arts, in the Faculty of Acting for Drama Theatre and Cinema, under the supervision of People’s Artist of Kazakhstan L. Beknazar-Khaning.
Since 2009, he has been working as an actor at the Kalibek Kuanyshbayev State Academic Kazakh Musical Drama Theatre.
From 2010 to 2011, he served in the military at the military unit No. 28903 in Taraz.

- In 2014, he won the “Best Actor” nomination during the “Know Your Actor” event held for the International Theatre Day on March 27.
- On March 27, 2017, he was awarded a Letter of Appreciation by the Mayor of Nur-Sultan city for his contribution to the arts.
- In 2018, during the 120th anniversary of T. Zhurgenov, at the VII International Theatre Festival of Central Asian countries, he received the “Debut” award for his role as Zharik in M. Auezov’s “The Helpless Day”.
- In 2018, he became a laureate of the “Serper” award of the Kazakhstan Union of Youth.
- He was awarded the “SakhnaGer-2018” National Prize in the “Hope” nomination.
In Kazakh cinema, he played a leading role in the TV series “Altyn Uya” by E. Rustembekov.
