Zhumagulova Bakyt Botpaevna

Zhumagulova Bakyt Botpaevna was born on April 9, 1967, in the Bukhar-Zhyrau district of Karaganda region.
In 1984, she graduated from a Kazakh secondary school and that same year enrolled in the dombyra class at the Karaganda Music College.
From 1986 to 1988, she joined the drama studio under the guidance of A. Rahymov at the M. Auezov Academic Drama Theatre.
From 1988 to 1997, she worked as an actress at the Kazakh Drama Theatre in Taldykorgan. During her ten years at this theatre, she performed numerous roles, such as “The Saint Who Regrets” (Woman), “Akin-Sara” (Sara), “May Your Light Never Fade” (Sveta), “Oh, Newlyweds!” (Zauresh), and “Enlik-Kebek” (Enlik), among others, which brought her closer to her audience.
Since 1997, she has been working at the Kalibek Kuanyshbayev State Academic Kazakh Musical Drama Theatre in the capital.
From 2002 to 2005, she studied at the Kazakh National Academy of Music in the “Theatre and Film Acting” program, where she was mentored by the famous director, People’s Hero of Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan Mambetov.
In 2016, she was awarded a special prize for her contribution to the theatre in the professional award ceremony “Enlikgul – 2016.”
In 2018, on the occasion of the Day of Culture and Arts Workers, she was awarded a Letter of Thanks from the Mayor of Nur-Sultan for her significant contribution to the development of the country’s culture and arts.
In 2019, she was awarded the “Kazakh Culture’s Activist” badge by the “Public Awards Council of Kazakhstan.”
In 2019, on the eve of Kazakhstan’s Independence Day, she was awarded a Letter of Thanks and Honorary Certificate from the “Kazakhstan Sectoral Culture, Sports, Tourism, and Information Workers’ Trade Union” for her significant contribution to the spiritual education of the younger generation, the development of folk art, and national culture.
In 2019, she participated in the monodrama “Ana men Ala” at the V.I. Miloserdov Festival of Solo Actor Projects in Russia, where she was awarded the “Best Female Role” and “Best Performance” awards. The play was directed by A. Salban.
In 2021, she was awarded the “Cultural Worker of the Year” badge by the Ministry of Culture and Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
