Zibagul Karina Zhaksylykkyzy

Karina Zibagul Zhaksylykkyzy was born on June 13, 1960, in the Zhanqeldi district of Kostanay region.

From 1967 to 1977, she graduated from the Zhanqeldi district school.

From 1977 to 1979, she worked as an actress at the Arkalyk Music and Drama Theatre.

From 1979 to 1983, she studied at the Theatre and Fine Arts Institute in Almaty, graduating with a degree in film and drama acting.

From 1983 to 1988, she worked at the S. Kozhamkulov State Music and Drama Theatre in Torgay region. In 1985, she played the role of Saniya in A. Tarazi’s play “The Girl’s Love” during the Young Theatres Festival in Tbilisi, dedicated to the 40th anniversary of the Great Victory. She also portrayed roles like Agaziya in M. Karim’s “Do Not Abandon the Fire, Prometheus!”, Aisha in A. Tavasarov’s “Island of Love”, Zhibek in G. Musirepov’s “Zhibek the Girl”, Almushka and Botka in T. Akhtanov’s “Kushik Kuyeu”, and many others.

In 1985, she improved her professional skills by attending courses with professors M.M. Gladkov and Novokhizhinin in Moscow.

In 1985, she was awarded the Honorary Certificate from the Department of Culture of Torgay region.

From 1988 to 1995, when the S. Kozhamkulov State Music and Drama Theatre moved to Zhezkazgan, she worked at the Zhezkazgan Regional Music and Drama Theatre. In 1991, she played Zhibek in G. Musirepov’s “Zhibek the Girl”, and in 1992, she was awarded a diploma for her role in “Kozı Korpesh – Bayan Sulu”, which won the Grand Prix at the Republican G. Musirepov Anniversary Festival. In 1993, the play was highly praised at the International Theatre Festival in Egypt.

In 1990, she was awarded the Honorary Certificate from the Department of Culture of Zhezkazgan region.

Since 1995, she has been working at the Kalibek Kuanyshbayev State Academic Kazakh Musical Drama Theatre in the capital city.

In 1996, she portrayed the character Dametken in the play “Aladar Kose” at the International Festival of Turkic-speaking countries in Ufa, which received high praise from Moscow critics.

She also performed in “Hello, Astana!” International Festival in the performance “The Puppet”, staged by director Orazaly Akzharkin-Sarsenbek, and played in “Alzhir”.

She taught acting and speech culture courses at the Vocal Art Department of the Kazakh National University of Arts for 8 years. Some of her students, like S. Baigozhin and A. Zhyltirguzov, have gained international recognition.

In 2007, she joined the “Nur Otan” Party and became the chairwoman of the party’s local branch in the theatre. She was awarded multiple “Letters of Thanks” and “Certificates” for her active involvement in promoting the party’s work.
