Sultangazy Bazil Abaybekuly

Sultangazy Bazil Abaybekuly was born on January 2, 1998, in Panfilov district, Almaty region.

He received his education at:

2004-2012: J. Sydykov Secondary School

2015-2019: T. Zhurgenov Kazakh National Academy of Arts, Faculty of “Theater Arts,” where he studied under the mentorship of G. Amandjanova and K. Adylov, specializing in “Actor.”

Since 2019, he has been an actor at the Qali Bek Kuanishbaev State Academic Kazakh Musical Drama Theater in Nur-Sultan.

In 2020, on July 15-16, he participated in a 16-hour course titled “Acting Mastery. Play and Role Analysis. A.P. Chekhov’s Dramaturgy” organized by the Russian Institute of Theatre Arts – GITIS.

In 2021, he directed the play “I Can’t Sleep” by O. Bokei, staged for the opening of the Qalleki Theater Laboratory.

In 2022, his direction of O. Bokei’s “I Can’t Sleep” drama was invited to the 5th International “BALAUSA” Experimental Theater Festival. The play was presented to theater experts, and as a result, Bazil Sultangazy was awarded the special prize named after Kadyr Rakhymbaiuly Zhetysbai.
