Sultangazy Bazil Abaybekuly

Actor, recipient of a state scholarship

Born on January 2, 1998, in Panfilov District of Almaty Region.

From 2004 to 2012 studied at Zh. Sydykov Secondary School.

From 2015 to 2019 studied at the T. Zhurgenov Kazakh National Academy of Arts, Faculty of Theatre Arts, in the workshops of G.B. Amanzhanova and K. Adylov, majoring in Acting.

M. Auezov “Karagoz” — Syrym;

A. P. Chekhov “The Bear” — Smirnov;

Brothers Grimm “The Bremen Town Musicians” — Guard;

B. Brecht “The Good Person of Szechwan” — Experiment;

N. Gogol “Dead Souls” — Sobakevich.

Since 2019 — actor of the Kalybek Kuanyshbayev State Academic Kazakh Musical and Drama Theatre (Nur-Sultan).

In July 2020 (15–16 July) completed a 16-hour training course:
“Acting Skills. Analysis of a Play and a Role. A. P. Chekhov’s Dramaturgy”
(Russian Institute of Theatre Arts — GITIS).

In 2021 — director of O. Bokey’s play “I Can’t Sleep”, staged for the opening of the Qalleki Theatre Laboratory.

In 2022, the play “I Can’t Sleep” by O. Bokey, directed by young director Bazil Sultangyzy, was invited to the V International Experimental Theatre Festival “BALAUSA” and presented to theatre experts.
As a result of the festival, young director B. Sultangazy received the Special Award named after Kadyr Rakhymbayuly Zhetpisbay.

In 2025, became a recipient of a state scholarship in the field of culture.
