Miras Abiluly Abil

Miras Abiluly Abil – Theater Critic, Master of Arts in “Art Studies,” Head of the Literature Department of the Kazakh State Academic Musical Drama Theater named after Q. Quanyshbaev. He was born on March 3, 1994, in the Abyraly region of Semey.

He began his education at T. Ismailov Secondary School in 2000 and graduated from Secondary School No. 16 in Ust-Kamenogorsk in 2011.

Having mastered the art of the stage from a young age, Miras Abil studied in the workshop of the prominent theater critic Ashirbek Sygay at the Kazakh National University of Arts in Nur-Sultan from 2011 to 2015. He pursued a major in “Theater Studies” and completed his studies with a Master’s degree in “Art Studies” between 2015 and 2017.

From his student years, he was elected as the Chairman of the “Es-Aimak” cultural and educational association and was one of the founders of the “Shabyt” journal. From 2015 to 2017, he worked as the Manager of the Literature Department at the Kazakh State Academic Musical Drama Theater named after Q. Quanyshbaev. In 2017, he became the Art Manager of the Creative Department at the “Kazakhconcert” State Concert Organization, and in 2018, he worked as the Art Manager at the Creative Department of the M. Auezov Kazakh State Academic Drama Theater in Almaty.

In 2019, he taught “World Theater History” and “Theater Criticism” at the T. Zhurgenov Kazakh National Academy of Arts, honing his skills as an instructor.

In 2017, due to his keen intellect, organizational skills, and leadership qualities, Miras Abil was appointed as a member of the jury at the First Republican Forum-Festival of Young Directors named after Qairat Sugirbekov, despite his youth. He shouldered the responsibility with great dedication, contributing to the successful organization of the XXV Republican Festival of Kazakhstan’s Drama Theaters dedicated to the 70th anniversary of Ashirbek Sygay. He played an important role in the development of Kazakh theater arts. Additionally, Miras Abil was a jury member at various internal theater festivals of the M. Auezov, G. Musirepov, and Q. Quanyshbaev Theaters and has consistently provided critical reviews.

Miras Abil is known for carrying out his work with great responsibility, enthusiasm, and dedication. He also keeps his creative endeavors alive, having written critical articles such as “The Tears of a Beautiful Woman” (Essay), “My Longing Has Never Been Exhausted…” (Poetry), “Smiling, They Say Mih” (Creative Portrait), “One Broken World – A Beautiful World” (Review), which have been published in the press. As a talented, competent, and diligent employee, Miras Abil is one of the authors of the books “Kalleki Theater” and “My Star is High” (Leylo).

His poems have been published in collections such as “The Wildflower Blooms Every Year,” “The Big History of a Small Village,” and “Golden Pedestal.” Since 2012, his critical articles about theater have been featured in national publications. Miras Abil continues to serve with distinction as the Head of the Literature and Scientific Resources Department at the Kazakh State Academic Musical Drama Theater named after Q. Quanyshbaev.
