Sakhi Nurbolat Askaruly

Sakhy Nurbolat Askaruly was born on December 26, 1998, in Kumshagal village, Taraz city, Zhambyl region.
In 2017, he graduated from the Karaganda Specialized Music Boarding School.
From 2017 to 2021, he studied at the Kazakh National University of Arts, Faculty of Traditional Musical Arts, majoring in Dombra Performance. He completed his studies in the class of senior lecturer of the Dombra Department, Associate Professor Edil Basygarayev, holder of the title “Excellence in Culture.”
During his academic and professional career, he achieved outstanding results at national and international competitions. He is:
– Grand Prize winner of the Republican competition “Qos Ishek,”
– First Prize winner of the Republican competition named after A. Zhubanov,
– Winner of the UNESCO Games,
– Third Prize winner of the “Akzhelen” Competition named after B. Basygarayev,
– Second Prize winner of the Republican Delphic Games.
He is also a multiple laureate of international and national competitions.
Since 2021, he has been a member of the Folk Instruments Ensemble of the Kazakh National Musical Drama Theatre named after Kalibek Kuanyshbayev. He actively participates in the theatre’s musical performances and concert programs.
Nurbolat Sakhy is recognized not only as a performer but also as a composer. He has written several original works for the folk instruments ensemble, enriching the theatre’s repertoire with new compositions.
