XXIX REPUBLICAN
FESTIVAL OF DRAMATIC THEATERS OF KAZAKHSTAN
From October 9 to October 15 of the current year in Petropavl city with the support of the Ministry of Culture and Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan and akimat of North-Kazakhstan region will be held XXIX Republican Festival of Drama Theaters of Kazakhstan, dedicated to the 125th anniversary of the state and public figure Temirbek Karauly Zhurgenov. The organizer of the festival is the State Academic Kazakh Musical Drama Theatre named after K.Kuanyshbaev. The cultural event is organized to familiarize the public with the creativity and heritage of Temirbek Zhurgenov and perpetuate his memory.
The festival will be attended by 10 theaters, selected by the decision of the festival’s expert council. The productions will be evaluated by a jury consisting of famous theater critics.
Within the framework of the festival residents and guests of the city will be able to enjoy the best productions of such theaters as: 1. Karaganda Regional Kazakh Drama Theater named after S. Seyfullin, O. Bokey “Atau-kere”; 2. Kazakh State Academic Theater for Children and Youth named after G. Musrepov, G. Lorca “Bernarda Albanyң үйі”; 3. Taldykorgan Drama Theater named after B. Rimova, G. Lorca “Bernarda Albanyң үйі”; 3. B.Rimova, G.Khugaev “Қара шекпен”; 4. Zhezkazgan Kazakh musical-drama theater named after S.Kozhamkulov, M.Magauin “Шақан шері”; 5. Mangistau regional musical-drama theater named after N.Zhanturin, M.Auezov “Қорғансыздың күні” 6. Turkestan Musical Drama Theater, A. Nusip “Magzhan”; 7. “State Puppet Theater” Almaty, E. Hemingway “The Old Man and the Sea”; 8. Pavlodar Kazakh musical-drama theater named after J. Aimauytov, Sh. Kudaiberdiuly “Ұzhdan”; 9. Theater “A.I” – A. Chekhov “Bak”; 10. Theater “Sham” – I. Iman #37.
The productions will be evaluated by a jury consisting of famous theater critics.
The composition of the jury of the ХХІХ Republican Festival of Drama Theaters of Kazakhstan, dedicated to the 125th anniversary of T.Zhurgenov:
Bakhyt Nurpeis – theatrologist, doctor of art history, professor, chairman of the jury.
Anar Yerkebay – theatrologist, candidate of art history, professor, jury member.
Meruert Zhaksylykova – theatrologist, candidate of art history, professor, jury member.
Aizat Kadyralieva – theatrologist, Master of Arts, member of the jury.
Nazerke Zhumabai – Master of Arts, member of the jury.
The performances on the program of the festival will be held from 9 to 15 October on the stages of the Kazakh Musical Drama Theatre named after S. Mukanov and the Russian Drama Theatre named after N. Pogodin.
