Dautova Aliya Sainkyzy
Assistant Director, Excellence in Culture Award Recipient
Aliya Sainovna Dautova was born on June 4, 1965, in Zhalantos village (formerly Karashengel Rural Council), Kazaly District, Kyzylorda Region, Kazakhstan.
From 1972 to 1982, she studied at Secondary School No. 103 and, after graduation, worked in her hometown for one year.
Between 1983 and 1985, she studied Choral Conducting at the Kaskelen Cultural and Educational College in Almaty Region.
She began her professional career in 1985 at the Kazaly District House of Culture in Kyzylorda Region, where she worked as Head of the Mobile Cultural Club and Senior Methodologist until 1994.
In October 1994, she joined the Kalibek Kuanyshbayev Kazakh National Musical Drama Theatre as an actress and vocalist.
Since 2007, she has served as an Assistant Director of the theatre. During this time, she has played a direct role in the production of more than 50 national and international performances. She has also participated in theatre tours in Germany (Munich, Cologne, and Frankfurt am Main), Poland, and Moscow.
Throughout her more than 35 years of professional experience, she has collaborated closely with distinguished theatre directors, including Hero of Kazakhstan Azirbayzhan Mambetov, People’s Artist of Kazakhstan Talgat Temenov, Honored Workers of Kazakhstan Nurkanat Zhakypbay, Alimbek Orazbekov, Bolat Uzakov, Nurlan Zhumaniyazov, Bolat Kurmangozhayev, Gulsina Mirgaliyeva, as well as internationally renowned directors such as Uzbekistan’s distinguished cultural figure V. Umarov (The Red Apple, 2009) and Honored Cultural Figure of Bashkortostan A. Abushakhmanov (The Famine, 2016).
As an Assistant Director, she places particular emphasis on coordinating communication and collaboration between directors and actors, ensuring the successful realization of each theatrical production. Since joining the theatre, she has actively participated in national and international tours, as well as city, national, and international theatre festivals, making a significant contribution to the promotion of theatrical art.
Within the creative team, Ms. Dautova is highly respected for her professionalism, refined character, creative insight, and unique ability to help actors reveal their artistic potential.

- 2015 – Letter of Appreciation from Astana Mayor Adilbek Dzhaksybekov;
- 2015 – Letter of Appreciation from the Ministry of Culture and Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan;
- 2019 – Awarded the honorary title “Figure of Kazakh Culture”;
- 2020 – Letter of Appreciation from the Astana City Department of Culture;
- 2021 – Awarded the “Excellence in Culture” badge;
- 2025 – Awarded the Honorary Certificate of the Republic of Kazakhstan for her significant contribution to the country’s cultural development;
- 2026 – Awarded the “Dara” Medal of the Union of Theatre Workers of Kazakhstan for her contribution to theatrical arts.
Since the beginning of her career at the Kalibek Kuanyshbayev Kazakh National Musical Drama Theatre, Aliya Sainovna Dautova has distinguished herself through her professionalism, dedication, and tireless work ethic. She has made a substantial contribution to the theatre’s establishment, growth, and artistic development. Her organizational skills, professional expertise, and commitment to the arts continue to strengthen the theatre’s reputation and creative potential.
