In November 1992, the theater troupe was invited to the Kazakhstan Theaters Festival in honor of the 90th anniversary of the master of words, G. Musirepov, held in Almaty, and for the first time, the theater was named a laureate.
In 1996, on May 31, the theater participated in the “Tughanlyk” II International Festival of Turkic-language theaters in Ufa with Sh. Qusayinov’s musical comedy “Aldar Kose,” and became a winner in three categories: “For exceptional contribution to the development of art” awarded to director J. Omaruly, “Hope” award to the young troupe, and the “Best Supporting Male” category awarded to actor Sh. Zhuniske for the role of Shygai Khan.
In 1999, the theater took part in the World Theaters Festival in Cairo.
In 2000, the theater went on a tour to five major cities of the Federal Republic of Germany.
In 2001, the theater held a ten-day event in the city of Omsk, Russia, for the capital city Astana.
In 2002, during the Arts Days of Astana in Moscow, the theater performed G. Musirepov’s “Kozhykorpesh-Bayan Sulu” at the “Mossovet” Theater stage.
In January 2010, the theater participated in the Fajr International Theater Festival in Tehran, Iran, with Mukhtar Auezov’s “Karagoz,” directed by People’s Hero Azerbaijan Mambetov, and received the Best Performance award.
In 2010, at the XVII Republican Theater Festival in Karaganda, the performance “Wedding,” staged by director Nurlan Jumaniyazov, won the second place.
In September 2010, at the XVIII National Theater Festival in Taraz, the theater won the Grand Prix with the play “The Evening,” directed by the People’s Artist of Kazakhstan Bolat Uzakov.
In 2011, at the “Theater Spring – 2011” Regional Theater Festival in Shymkent, in celebration of Kazakhstan’s 20th anniversary of independence and International Theater Day, the comedy “For You” (written by E. Zhusbek, directed by the People’s Artist of Kazakhstan Nurlan Jumaniyazov) won the “Best Performance” nomination.
From April 23–26, 2011, at the National Theater Festival in honor of Kazakhstan’s 20th anniversary, D. Ramazan’s drama “Kenesary-Kunimjan” won the “Best National Author’s Dramaturgy” and actor Syrim Kashkabaev won the “Best Male Character” award.
On December 14, 2011, the theater was granted the status of an “Academic Theater.”
From September 16-24, 2012, at the XX Republic Drama Theaters Festival in Oral, dedicated to the 80th anniversary of A. Mambetov, the theater participated with G. Musirepov’s “Akan Seri – Aktoyty” tragedy and won the “Kadyr Myrzaliev Special Award.” Actor Tіlektes Meirаmov, who played the role of Nauan, won the “Best Male Character” award. The director was Nurlan Jumaniyazov.
From October 1-5, 2012, at the Republic Theaters Festival in Kostanay, in honor of I. Omarov’s 100th anniversary, the theater participated with J. Shevren’s “Formula of Goodness” comedy. The awards included the “Best Female Character” given to the People’s Artist of Kazakhstan Leilo Beknazar-Khaninga and People’s Artist of Kazakhstan Zhanat Chaykina, and the “Hope” award to young actress Ainaur Zhetpysbaeva. The director was Alimbek Orazbekov.
From October 20-26, 2012, the theater participated in the IV Central Asian International Theater Festival in Almaty with William Shakespeare’s “Hamlet,” directed by Bolat Uzakov. The Ministry of Culture and Information of Kazakhstan awarded the theater a Certificate of Appreciation for its participation in the festival. Actor Nurken Otevil won the “Best Male Character” award for his role as Hamlet.
In November 10-16, 2012, the theater performed Duman Ramazan’s drama “Kenesary – Kunimjan” in Turkish at Istanbul and Ankara, Turkey. The director was Bolat Uzakov.
From September 23-29, 2013, in Aktyubinsk, at the XXI Republic Drama Theaters Festival dedicated to the 90th anniversary of Kazakh writer and playwright T. Akhanov, the theater participated with Sh. Murtaza’s drama “One Part of the World” and won the “Best Actor Ensemble” award. The director was Bolat Uzakov.
From May 15-18, 2014, at the “Alaş Ardaktysy” Regional Theater Festival in Pavlodar, in honor of writer and public figure Zhusipbek Aymaytov’s 125th anniversary, the theater participated with the farce tragedy “Ukili Zhuldyz” by Akim Tarazid and won the Grand Prix. The director was Alimbek Orazbekov.
In 2014, at the XXII Republican Theater Festival in Kyzylorda, dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the People’s Artist of the USSR and Kazakhstan, S. Maykanova, the theater participated with Sh. Aitmatov’s “Mother – Mother Earth.” Actress G. Aspetova won the “Sabira Maykanova Special Award” and actress T. Atimtayeva won the “Best Female Character” award. The director was People’s Hero A. Mambetov, with assistant director B. Kurmangozhaev.
In May 2014, at the V Central Asian International Theater Festival, the theater participated with J. Anuy’s “The Flaming Joan of Arc” and won the Grand Prix. Actress Ainur Bermukhambetova won the “Best Female Character” award. The director was Alimbek Orazbekov.
In 2015, at the XXIII Republic Theater Festival in Uskemen, the theater participated with V. Ezhov’s lyrical drama “Night of Nightingales” and won the “Best Director’s Decision” award. The director was T. Temenov.
In 2015, the theater participated in the International Theater Festival of dramatist Rakhymjan Otarbaev in Atyrau with “The Traveler Without Shadow” and director N. Jumaniyazov won the “Best Director” award. Actress Ainur Bermukhambetova won the “Best Actress” award.
In late November and early December 2015, the theater participated in the XIII International “Golden Vityaz” Theater Forum in Moscow with “The Nightingales” and won the Grand Prix. Additionally, actors Tіlektes Meiramov (Colonel Lukyanov), Abilmansur Serikov (Pernebek Boranbayev), and actress Akmaral Tanabaeva (Inga) were awarded “Golden Vityaz” Gold Diplomas.
From September 12-16, 2016, in Aktyubinsk, the theater participated in the XXIV Republic Drama Theaters Festival, celebrating Kazakhstan’s 25th anniversary of independence, and won the “Best Performance” award with the comedy “Cherry.”
